I truly do love my Filofax, but currently I'm having a hard time making it work for me. For the last half of 2012 I used the day per page inserts and those really worked for me at the time. I went ahead and bought them in early December for 2013, but so far this year they do not seem to be meeting my needs, unfortunately :(!! I'm very torn between ordering something different and just trying to find a new way to use what I currently have (which is the cheaper option)...
I would also LOVE LOVE LOVE to use my Filofax as my wallet. I'm one of those people who jumps from wallet to wallet and purse to purse. I'm not sure WHY exactly, but it's been a problem for YEARS. I'm very envious of those who find something that works and stick with it. I'm trying very hard to not spend any unnecessary money right now, so making my current Aston work as a wallet (rather than ordering another one more wallet-friendly) is a big plus... I'm also playing around with making some of my OWN inserts instead of spending money on new ones. Being broke sucks! LOL
Any suggestions are very welcome! Also, I've just started this blog so if anyone has any suggestions on things I could add, I am all ears!

Lets take a tour!
This is the cover of my lovely Aston Filofax in Orchid!
Side view with my pens.
Love the stitching on the spine, and the F of course!
Top view!
She lays flat right out of the box, in case you were wondering!
Fly leaf dashboard with some post-its on both sides.
Fly leaf on the left, year overview on the right with a magnetic paperclip.
Contents of the left side pockets: extra magnetic paperclip, stamps, folded up notes, and a monthly 2 year calendar.
A glance at the monthly calendar... the retailer I bought my 2013 diary inserts at was out of the month on 2 pages so I just decided to do this as a cheap and quick alternative... I may still end up ordering the inserts online cause I really miss them and this calendar adds too much bulk!
This is a cross necklace made out of yarn that my husband gave me but it got itchy and was irritating so I stopped wearing it, but I really wanted to have it somewhere I could see it all the time, so I attached it to the ring opening mechanisms :) now its like a little Filofax charm!
I have some sticky tabs for the months.
I have the day per page diary inserts, so I write most of my to-dos and such on the day pages. I opted to (momentarily) just have the diary section and a to-do/notes section.
I have a fly leaf as a dashboard and divider for my to-do/notes section.
I have some leftover unused day per page inserts from last year where I switched layouts part way through the year, so instead of tossing them I decided to reuse the pages! I just blocked out the dates and flipped them upside down to use as extra note sheets etc.
On the left: another magnetic clip holding together some blank note sheets (just used computer paper then cut and hole punched to fit). On the right: black plastic thing from another planner I had (don't remember the brand) I have it in the back as a little sheet protector and to add a little more of a hard surface for writing.
All the lovely stickers, dividers, hole reinforcements that I keep in the back zip pocket!
My 2 Bic 4 color pens!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these hot lists!! Mental note: need to get more!
Filofax to the rescue!
I'm stuck in the waiting room of the ER (with family, not for myself) and remembered my trusty Aston was in the car... Time to work on planning out my week while I'm stuck here bored anyway :)
